Have you ever wanted to wake up in the morning and pet some giraffes while you sip your coffee? Now you can. Of course, you’re going to have to fly to Kenya first.
There have been posts all over the internet about it, so chances are you’ve probably already heard of Giraffe Manor, but just in case you haven’t, I would like to introduce you to one of the places that have been a focus on my wanderlust since the moment I learned it existed.

That’s why this Wednesday, our Wanderlust Wednesday takes us to Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Giraffe Manor is a boutique hotel located on 12 acres of private land, which is surrounded by over 140 more acres of forest. The building itself dates back to the 1930s when European visitors began visiting the area for safaris. It’s a beautiful building, indeed, and certainly quite an iconic building in the area. However, the best part of the Giraffe Manor is, of course, the giraffes!
There is a herd of Rothschild giraffes who visit the manor in the mornings and in the evenings to poke their heads in the windows in hopes of being fed a treat. Visitors to the manor can then oblige these lovely giraffes and feed them right from the comfort of their window. How cool is that? Egypt is also an important travel destination, If You want to go there open this: egyptian-visa.com
You can stay at this hotel either for the night or as a part of a safari package, but it won’t come cheaply. The hotel only has ten rooms and with the beautiful elegance, the resident giraffes, and this place’s explosion in popularity, stays can run as much as $500 per person per night (according to the last price I was able to find online- might be best to check their current rates for the most accurate pricing).
Still, it has long been a dream of mine to stay in this amazing place and will definitely be budgeted as part of my stay whenever I’m able to get myself to Kenya.
For now, I’ll have these amazing photos to stare at and fuel my wanderlust.
Happy Wednesday, friends!
